Conversations with Visionary Leaders on Modern Leadership

Welcome, Andy Dunn

Andy Dunn is a serial entrepreneur, venture capitalist, and author. He co-founded Bonobos, a men's clothing brand, in 2007, where he held the role of CEO for a decade. Bonobos distinguished itself as the first major U.S. brand to initiate operations predominantly online, innovating an inventory-free retail approach that reshaped shopping in the digital age. In 2017, Dunn oversaw the sale of Bonobos to Walmart, a deal valued at $310 million.

While his career path reads like a narrative of triumph, Dunn's personal journey is more nuanced. In May 2022, he released a memoir titled Burn Rate: Launching a Startup and Losing My Mind, which delves into his experiences balancing the demands of entrepreneurship with living with bipolar disorder.

His story is a candid exploration of the complex interplay between innovative thinking, reality, and leadership. Dunn is committed to using his experiences to foster a broader understanding and reevaluation of mental health and wellness in the context of business and innovation.

When we reframe mental health investments as good for shareholders, not just good for employees, I think that's a massive paradigm shift that will lead to a lot more investment.
